If anyone in the greater New York area wants to band together and buy a crazy amount of Girl Scout cookies and then make a video where we are eating them surrounded by boxes and boxes to counteract this little jerk’s ban, please let me know. I’ve already written some sample dialogue:

“Mmm! This cookie tastes like tolerance!”

“Mmm! This cookie tastes like acceptance!”

“Mmm! This cookie tastes like Patrick Swayze’s character in To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar… and it’s delicious!”

Let’s take a scrumptious stand against bigotry.

I want to eat cookies in the name of love. Let me know if you do too.

As if I needed another excuse to buy the shit out of some girl scout cookies

Credit to the Girls Scouts for being more tolerant than the Boy Scouts (with whom I don’t regret my involvement for one second, but it’s time to work through that homophobia, folks).

Proof that the intolerant, anti-progressives amongst us will go to great lengths to defend silly, noninclusive traditions. Love the cookie idea above, even if I don’t love Girl Scout cookies. While I never continued beyond Cub Scouts, I can’t say I was socially aware enough to care who was in the group. Can we just make like the “Pawnee Rangers” EP of Parks & Rec by dismissing gender separation in favor of all-inclusive groups?
